I spent most of my career as a creative editor and post-production supervisor at boutique and full-service post houses in Chicago. I also spent 3 years in Tel Aviv where I edited in Hebrew, a language I barely spoke. That experience taught me that a good take has less to do with words than expressions, that coffee and cake in the afternoon definitely improve a cut, and that crazy hours, insane deadlines, and the desire to make something the best it can possibly be, is universal.
 
I've been working independently since 2018, giving me the freedom to straight-up edit or pull together a crew and direct as well. COVID brought new opportunities to problem-solve in my work with non-profits. In lieu of working in-person, I directed and shot remotely using iPhones.  I also began working as a visual consultant, helping organizations figure out what they need to shoot, where they can use graphics or stock footage, and how they can re-purpose existing assets to bring their scripts to life. I love each mode for different reasons and am thankful that the world has become flexible enough to allow me to use my skills in a wide variety of ways.  This way, it's always something new!
